On the occasion of my 60th birthday, this special edition whisky from the Gerhard Büchner enemy distillery was limited to 60 bottles.
This special bottling is a single malt whisky and was made from Pilsner malt. It first matured for three years in a red wine cask, after which the whisky was refined for a further three years in a sherry cask. It develops a light, delicately floral character with a full-bodied aroma. A long-lasting finish completes this taste experience in an incomparable way with a finely balanced vanilla note and a hint of honey. The taste develops best at room temperature (18-22 °C).

The fantastic location in the Salza valley, very close to the Süßen See lake in Saxony-Anhalt and the lushness with which the fruits of nature thrive there is the geographical starting point for the Büchner family’s passion. The very agricultural region has always produced fruit and grain of the best quality – and where this is the case, the principle applies that a distillery is usually not far away. The distilling tradition around the Salzatal has existed since 1855. The distillery of our choice produces its products to the highest quality and with professional passion, which is why my whisky comes from this company.
All brandies and liqueurs are produced purely by hand using selected regional products, and the flavors are generally not artificially influenced. A special experience for your senses, traditionally and gently distilled.
In 2024, to mark the Olympic victories in Sarajevo 1984 and Lillehammer 1994, we laid down one new cask for each anniversary.
These will be opened in 2034, when we will release two new jubilee editions. Stay tuned!
