In 25 years of ski jumping, I have achieved everything on the world’s ski jumps. To become Olympic champion in 2 jumping styles under 2 flags – I would never have dreamed of that.

11 running meters, decorated room-high with 250 trophies, medals, awards and many mementos from a whole life as an athlete. Sorted chronologically, from the beginnings and first successes when I joined the children’s and sports school as a pupil in 1977, to the highs with Olympic victories every 10 years and many funny episodes that I am happy to tell you about on story cards. A timeline organizes everything into the years. 12 shining steles carry those trophies that are special, outstanding milestones that need more space to be shown and deserve more attention. Among them are the golden eagles. But what makes the exhibition special is the big picture, the diversity and the quantity – I hope we can take you back to my golden years up to 1996.

Nevertheless, I have not only experienced highs. Tin instead of precious metal and defeat instead of victory have been part of my history. But this collection of my cups and trophies is only intended to show one side of the medal: the one that shines
